For years, my partners and I have read and reviewed email marketing case studies. Each had its own particular benefit, from a learning perspective, but as we read the last dozen or so, we recognized some patterns. We went back through our archive of both third party, and our own internal studies, and realized they were all saying the same thing, over and over again, but in slightly different ways.
Finally, for our own internal use, we compiled all the studies, including our own, into one master study. This study is pertinent across industry boundaries. If all the factors in this master study are paid close attention to, personnel conducting campaigns adapt quickly and they use the
right tools, then it will succeed.
